Party Poker Traffic up 30% Due to Bwin Merger

John Mehaffey - December 19, 2012

Party Poker has regained the number two spot in terns of online poker cash game traffic today. This spike in traffic can be attributed to the merger of the player bases of the Party Poker Network and bwin, which was formerly on the Ongame Network. The parent company of both poker rooms,, sold the Ongame Network to Amaya Gaming and migrated the bwin players to the Party Poker Network due to the sale.

Party Poker was always a great poker room for players due to its large size, promotions and tournaments. Now it is even better than before. There are 30% more players on the Party Poker Network than there were just yesterday. Today's traffic peaked at over 6500 players, which put it 10% ahead of Full Tilt Poker for second place.

This new traffic should provide a larger player pool at all limits. It should also help action in games besides Texas Hold'em. While cash game players will enjoy the added traffic, tournament players will be happy that sit and gos will fill up faster and multi table tournaments will have larger prize pools. If you have not signed up for Party Poker yet, this is the best time in years to do so.
